Hartree Centre Summer School

"Programming for Petascale"

14-19 July 2013, STFC Daresbury Laboratory

Applications are now being accepted for places at the inaugural Hartree Centre Summer School, which will take place at STFC Daresbury Laboratory from 14-19 July 2013. The Summer School is titled "Programming for Petascale" and attendees will learn the skills necessary to develop applications that run on the top 20 machines of the Top500, now and in the future.

Topics covered will include:

•             HPC architectures: yesterday, today and tomorrow

•             Numerical linear algebra in a parallel world

•             Numerical analysis

•             Parallel I/O

•             Big Data

•             Visualization

•             Programming with MPI

•             Programming with Open MP

•             Programming with new parallel languages

 

Registration fees for the School are £300 and further information – plus an online application form – can be found at http://www.stfc.ac.uk/Hartree/Events/43631.aspx.

Dear Colleagues,

The VIASM is going to organize a SEAMS school on "Algeraic curves" for
undergraduate (last grade) and master students directed by Prof. Ngo Bao
Chau
Thank to the support of CIMPA we can give support upto 10 students from
SEAMS (other than Vietnam) to attend the school.
Could you please encourage some good students to apply for attending this
school at the website:

The VIASM will make the selection between June 15 to June 19. Since the
time left is very short, it would be nice if you can help me to contact
